Do you think she would have actually enhanced the film? I mean, I could have done with more Ray Winstone, but I don't see him adding much more.

This is a great article! I agree with all of it.

Overall I believe the film is sort of a 'coming of age' about Barry going from a weak and insecure boy into a Superman.

I think the most significant evidence of this is when he flys to Hawaii and the first few scenes after he lands. He says to the man sitting next to him on the plane that it's his first time flying and it's also the first time we see Barry wearing the red tie almost as though he has finally earned the iconic red S on his chest. Also, the first thing he does in Hawaii is make a call from the PAY PHONE.. Let's not overlook how relevant the telephone is because the phone booth is where the Clark always CHANGED INTO SUPERMAN. And when they show his sister on the other line she is wearing a very distinct green sweater.. In my opinion confirming what Steve said about the family being the Kryptonite.

I know I'm years late to this discussion but I just stumbled across it and really liked what everyone was saying.

I don't watch 30 Rock so I can't say I like or dislike it and I knew nothing about this Tracy Morgan clown, but my housemate is watching the show and all I hear from the room next to mine is that idiot's stupid voice. I typed in Google "tracy morgan is so annoying" and I'm glad there are others who feel the same.

Hugo was great. I could have used more of Emily Mortimer, even though she was peripheral.
