From Greg Mottola, the Director of Superbad, comes Adventureland, another modern coming-of-age tale that makes all of the little agonies seem so funny. Unlike Superbad, that looked like it was straight out of the 70s, or a really lame part of the 80s, but could have taken place in any time really, Adventureland is set specifically in 1987 and tells the tale of a young college grad who takes a job at a sketchy local amusement park and has the summer of his life. I’d say this movie will be the final ripening of Bill Hader before he finally gets his own star-vehicle. And can we really argue that Kristen Wiig doesn’t improve any movie she’s in? So psyched to see Ryan Reynold’s is in this – looks like he might just be able to reprise his role from Waiting.
