Source Code trailer

While I might not be exactly thrilled with the craftmanship that went into making this trailer, I am definitely interested in the content it’s trying to sell. Duncan Jones, the director of astro-headscratcher Moon, presents what appears to be a variant on Denzel Washington’s forgettable time travel flick, Deja Vu. Looks like Jake Gyllenhaal will be travelling back in time for 8 minute sojourns to try to head off a train bomber – only he’s doing it in the body of someone else. Sounds like someone’s been watching their Lost pretty closely and making their own tweaks from there. This looks like a very clever story that could be blown by shoddy direction, but

  • Whoa…this looks pretty impressive. I actually do like the trailer. Although, yes, these type of trailers are pretty overdone. Nevertheless, it’s exciting to watch :) I rarely go to the movie theater, but I did see Deja Vu in the theater. I thought it was….interesting, haha. Let’s hope that they got this one right!

    • Yeah, the director’s pedigree is super great, although as a rookie, I can see how he might not be able to control how they promote his product. Jake Gyllenhaal is mostly great and Michele Monaghan has done some great stuff too – like Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang. Keep the faith, Josh!
