I was sitting around watching TV during the week, as I am want to do some times, and I flipped across “Field of Dreams” starring mr. baseball movie himself, Kevin Costner. Since I was bored and feeling nostalgic I watched it. And I am glad I did. It has been about 15 years since I saw it last and it stands the test of time. It is still charming and heartwarming and above all entertaining.
If you haven’t seen it, Field of Dreams is a story about an Iowa corn farmer who hears a voice telling him to build it and they will come. What it is, is a baseball diamond, complete with lights and bases and even stands. So he builds it, and they come. Well, there is more to it then that, but I don’t want to sit here and ruin old movies for you. Field of Dreams is as un-ofensive as a movie can be. It can be watched by all, unless you hate baseball. or farmers. Since the world series starts tomorrow, baseball fever will be in the air. Go re-watch this classic and dare to dream.

I don’t follow baseball. I love baseball movies. I don’t know why. This is the male “Terms of Endearment.” Damn it. I always cry at the end with Costner and his father. Chokes me up.
After filming the movie Field of Dreams, middle-aged men from Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa form a barnstorming baseball team that travels the world, while testing their commitment to the physical and financial strains to keep their dreams alive. They are the Ghost Players from the Field of Dreams.
The team is documented in a movie making some festival runs. Ghost Player: Relive the Magic
